Cultivating A Community Of Learners Summit Event Assets

The challenge here was to create a simplified way to present a “global community of learners”. It took me a few sketches (all of which I hated) before I found a stock photo of a hand holding a sprout. At that point, I just traced the hand hastily and curved it into a globe and played with it until I was left with the current iteration.

This project was brought to me by my friend Ed Campos Jr., who’s kind of a superhuman educator who spends most of his time thinking of outside-the-box ideas to improve educators and their ability to teach in the classroom. We met almost 15 years ago when I was still a teacher.

Cut to today and he is now involved in all manner of organizations like C.S.T.A. (Computer Science Teachers Association) and I was chosen to create the social media and webinar assets for their Cultivating A Community of Learners Summit on September 18th, 2021.

Deliverables included social media graphics for popular platforms, webinar presentation backgrounds and Google Slide footers for presenters to use in their presentations. A really fun and satisfying project to see unfold.
