The Job
I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve been listening to Save Ferris for longer than a lot of you have been alive. They are one of my favorite bands. I only started listening to them because barely-past-teenage me had a gargantuan crush on Monique Powell but they really were (and still are) a fun and tightly-talented squad of goofballs with instruments and, goddamn, could Monique sing! 😍 I’ve seen them live 3 times and the last time I saw them was at Warped Tour in 2000, so I was so stoked to see them again. They’ve always been awesome live and Monique Powell is STILL a dime. Opener was The Aquadolls, a band whom I’ve been listening to for a few years, but I’d never seen live and they hella blew me away regardless. Should’ve been at Strummer’s in Fresno on February 24th, 2023.
