I’ve been hearing whispers of pickleball for years but it always sounded like “diet tennis” to me. If I’m being honest, I never really gave it an honest chance even from a spectator standpoint. Then I was hired to shoot a tournament of said sport and my mind was changed.

Amyl & The Sniffers are a garage punk band from Melbourne, Australia fronted by a tiny firecracker named Amy Taylor whose piercing banshee of a voice took over Downtown Fresno on October 13th, 2023.
On my 6th time seeing them live, now that I’ve been listening to them for damn near a quarter of a century, I knocked out another bucket list band off my shooting list when Flogging Molly once again brought the Celtic fire to Fresno last night.
An epic night of hip-hop with one of my favorite hip-hop groups of all time: the iconic Souls of Mischief with special apperances by Raw Wattage & BKR. Keep your eyes peeled for Planet Asia on stage dropping a few bars as well.
Up until this year, I hadn’t heard of Turnover until my friend Zayda turned me onto them. As soon as they came up on the roster for Strummer’s in Fresno, I was all over it when Numbskull needed a photographer for the show.
Since I’d never actually shot skaters in my life AND I had just scored a Canon 5D Mk.IV the week before, I figured the best way to break it in was to go shoot a bunch of degenerate skaters in Fresno.
