I shot a couple of exposures on TMAX100 film using the Mamiya the day we took photos of Mikala last week. I knew they’d turn out pretty blurry because there was a very limited amount of light we could count on and I was working with a film with abysmally-low ISO. There wasn’t a whole lot I could do with underexposed and expired film but the important thing is that I have finished the rest of the real photos from this photo shoot that, quite frankly, had me very nervous. You only get to be someone’s first photographer once. Mikala was astonished and ecstatic and I was even happier to see a wide smile on her face as she finally saw herself in the kind of portrait that you could never take with the front camera of any phone.
